Bergelectric – San Diego hosted the 2022 Bergelectric Charitable Foundation Cornhole Classic on Thursday, September 29, 2022 in Escondido, California. Several San Diego-area businesses joined Berg employees from the San Diego region and surrounding divisions to raise $19,625 to support the Armed Services YMCA – Camp Pendleton (ASYMCA).

The ASYMCA supports programs to assist enlisted servicepersons and their families with such programs as the Fisher Children’s Center Daycare, Operation Little Learners Preschool and Operation Ride Home for families with transportation needs.

Supporting community charities in San Diego and across the country through the Bergelectric Charitable Foundation (BCF) is part of the Bergelectric character. Look no further than this year’s annual BCF Cornhole Classic for evidence of Berg’s commitment to the community as well as their reputation and ability to bring together local businesses to achieve charitable goals.

“Bergelectric has a strong relationship with the United States military in San Diego county. Berg employs several veterans and some of those were stationed at Camp Pendleton,” an event organizer commented. “Partnering with the ASYMCA – Camp Pendleton seemed a perfect fit for this year’s Classic.”

Over 30 San Diego-area business joined Bergelectric – San Diego and surrounding divisions to raise $19,625 for the Armed Services YMCA – Camp Pendleton. Over the course of 6 weeks and 5 hours of cornhole, nearly 150 people became a single force to support U.S. military families in San Diego county and one of the organizations that do the everyday work to assist U.S. serviceperson.
