Bergelectric’s San Diego region held their annual Cornhole Classic on Friday, September 15th, benefitting the Sugar Bear Foundation in honor of Lieutenant Colonel Mario “Sugar Bear” Carazo, who made the ultimate sacrifice on July 22, 2010, during combat operations in Afghanistan.

The The Sugar Bear Foundation was started in LTCOL Carazo’s name in support of military survivors. Their mission is to support the Gold Star/Surviving Spouses (Active-Duty and Service-Connected loss) and children of fallen United States military personnel by providing career, educational, financial, and wellness programs to help meet their immediate and ongoing needs, fostering their personal, emotional, and social well-being. In doing so, we continue Mario’s legacy of service, share his story and celebrate his life in a way that impacts our fallen military families.

Thank you to everyone who supported this event and for those committed to supporting our nation’s military. For more about the Sugar Bear Foundation, visit their social media or the website at https://lnkd.in/dvY_uHu.
