Bergelectric Las Vegas held its annual Cornhole Tournament Fundraiser, where over 50 teams registered to compete while supporting two fantastic causes. Proceeds from the event allowed the Bergelectric Charitable Foundation to donate $24,000 (split 50/50) to two local organizations that support women in need: The Remissionaries and Project Marilyn.
The Remissionaries provides Comfort Crates, supplies that give comfort and care to women going through chemotherapy treatments to fight a breast cancer diagnosis. The founder of The Remissionaries is herself a breast cancer survivor, and she created this organization to give others the comfort that she needed during her chemotherapy treatments. Project Marilyn provides Project Marilyn Bags containing enough tampons, maxi pads, and wipes to carry a person through their monthly cycle. Other organizations often overlook This area of need, so they have set out to fill this void and ensure that adults and teens will have these necessities no matter their current life situation.
“Thank you, a million times over, thank you for inviting us to this incredible event. The money you raised for us is going to help so many women in Southern Nevada with a breast cancer diagnosis. We are a small but mighty organization with a lot of heart (and not a lot of money) so this injection is going to keep us going through most of 2025.” – Christina, Founder of The Remissionaries
“I am so deeply touched and honored that you selected us this year. Your donation will make a significant impact to our mission to end period poverty in our community. Thank you again! I am truly speechless.” – Wendi, Founder of Project Marilyn
