FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 20, 2024 – Bergelectric’s San Diego Region, including NTS and Underground Regions, put on the 2024 San Diego Cornhole Classic at Bergelectric’s San Diego regional office.
The event’s goal was to raise funds and awareness for the Bergelectric Charitable Foundation and the Armed Services YMCA—Camp Pendleton.
With support from our two Platinum Showcase Sponsors, SDLA and OCS, we increased our fundraising goals this year, which is an incredible achievement for the San Diego Region. Many other Gold, Silver, and Bronze Sponsors, such as Main Electric and CED, as well as 36 additional player sponsors from across the San Diego region, came together to raise an impressive $63,200, which resulted in a $31,600 donation to the Armed Services YMCA—Camp Pendleton.
The event fielded 48 two-player teams with players from many of our San Diego County subcontractor teams and product vendors. In addition to all of our vendor sponsors, the success of the 2024 Classic was made possible by the support of Senior Vice President Rob McMillian, event Co-Chairs Paul D. and Robert N., the infamous Andrew R. of Southern California Cornhole Association, and the entire Berg Barbeque Team! The Barbeque Team, led by Chris G., arrived at 5:45 AM to prepare tri-tips, bacon-wrapped hot dogs, and made-to-order burgers. Hand-in-hand with a cold treat from Gelato Paradiso and cold drinks from TapTruck SD, the event was a great success and a tasty one!
