PORTLAND, OR, August 23, 2018 The Bergelectric Charitable Foundation held their 2nd Annual Cornhole Classic for the Portland, OR region benefiting Love Reins Ranch. A good time was had by all as participants engaged in friendly competition, good food, and drinks while supporting a great cause. This is the second year in a row that the Bergelectric Charitable Foundation has supported Love Reins Ranch.
Love Reins Ranch was founded as a non-profit therapeutic riding center to serve children with disabilities. Director Katie Evans dreamed of opening up her own therapeutic riding center for years and was granted the opportunity to make her dream a reality in 2009.
Each participant comes to Love Reins Ranch once a week for one hour. While there, he or she is the only rider and gets all the attention and love of Katie and the volunteers on site. Children feel very comfortable and special when they come to Love Reins.
Children that come to Love Reins do not have to spend the whole time riding horses. Katie has many other educational games and activities for children and volunteers to participate in if a child does not yet feel comfortable with horses. There is art to be done inside the heated barn, or bubbles to blow when the weather is nice!
Love Reins is free for all its participants! This is often a huge relief to families because the cost of many other therapuetic riding centers is more than many people can afford.
