SEPTEMBER 27, 2024–Bergelectric Denver volunteered with Food For Thought. It’s one of Denver’s favorite days of the year, as we helped fill thousands of PowerSacks and made a monetary donation to the charity. We hope our donation will help support their mission so no child goes hungry.
About Food For Thought
Food For Thought was founded in 2012 by Bob Bell, after he discovered the heartbreaking reality that many of Denver’s schoolchildren were going hungry, particularly on weekends. Food For Thought supplies weekend food bags to 75 schools across the Denver area. Every Friday, volunteers gather to pack PowerSacks each filled with non-perishable food items sufficient to feed a family of four through the weekend. These bags are distributed to students on Friday afternoons, ensuring they have enough to eat until they return to school on Monday.
