Grape Day 5k 2018

ESCONDIDO, CA, October 6, 2018 Bergelectric San Diego employees and families participated in the Grape Day 5k event in support of the Bergelectric Charitable Foundation. The GrapeDay 5K is a 5K fun run for everyone from elite runners to casual walkers on a race course that winds through Old Escondido Historic District. For the third year in a row, the Bergelectric Charitable Foundation was a major sponsor for this event which goes to support the following:
Charities Supported by the Grape Day 5k include:
- Significant donation to Multiple Sclerosis Society – The 5K Charity Partner
- Boys and Girls Club of Greater San Diego County
- Palomar YMCA
- Holiday shopping for underprivileged youth in Escondido
- Angel’s depot – providing food to senior citizens in need
- Cabins in San Diego County for disabled including our wounded warriors
- Project Mercy home building in Tijuana
- Emergency support of such things as wildfire efforts and other disaster relief
- Youth leadership camp for 300 high school juniors in San Diego County
- Providing bikes for the entire 3rd grade of selected elementary schools
- Meals on Wheels for the Escondido area
- North County Interfaith – feeding homeless veterans
