In response to the escalating need for food assistance across Southern Nevada, the Bergelectric Charitable Foundation has proudly contributed $12,000 to combat food insecurity in the region.
As food prices soar, supply chain disruptions persist, and recent reductions in SNAP benefits create additional challenges, countless individuals and families are experiencing unprecedented hardship. Recognizing the urgent need, the Foundation allocated $3,000 each to four frontline organizations: Las Vegas Rescue Mission, The Do Right Movement, The Just One Project, and Helping Hands of Vegas Valley.
These dedicated nonprofits are pillars in the fight against hunger throughout the Las Vegas Valley:
- Las Vegas Rescue Mission delivers daily hot meals, emergency food aid, shelter, and long‑term recovery programs for those facing homelessness or crisis. Their comprehensive services ensure ongoing access to nutritious food and holistic support.
- The Do Right Movement reaches underserved neighborhoods with food distributions, outreach initiatives, and strategic partnerships aimed at alleviating hunger and fostering long‑term well‑being. This season, their Holiday Food and Toy Giveaway brings extra care and celebration to families during the holidays.
- The Just One Project increases food access through mobile pantries, grocery assistance, and nutrition programs that serve children, seniors, veterans, and families across Southern Nevada.
