More Than Food
North County Food Bank’s mission extends beyond food to provide essential resources that address other challenges:

Diapers for Infants and Toddlers:

Families without access to diapers face major barriers to work and childcare. Diaper shortages can also lead to health issues and strain the parent-child bond. Nearly 48% of children under age three in the U.S. live in poverty or low-income families, with 5.4 million children in need of diaper assistance.

Period Supply Program:

  • 1 in 4 teens in the U.S. have missed school due to lack of period supplies.
  • 2 in 5 women face financial difficulties affording period products.
  • One-third of low-income women report missing work or school due to inadequate access to period supplies.
