On April 26, 2025, the dedicated team from Bergelectric Las Vegas proudly took part in the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s Out of the Darkness Walk at Sunset Regional Park. Employees from both the office and the field, along with their families, united to raise awareness, honor those lost to suicide, and offer support to individuals and communities affected by this critical issue.
This impactful event resonates deeply with Bergelectric’s “YOU MATTER” Construction Suicide Prevention campaign, which highlights the vital importance of mental health awareness and suicide prevention, especially within the construction industry—a sector grappling with some of the highest suicide rates. By walking together, speaking out, and raising their voices, our team conveyed a powerful message: you are not alone, and your life truly matters.
Through their heartfelt contributions, the team successfully raised over $500 in donations for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. More than just a fundraising effort, the walk served as a meaningful opportunity for connection, reflection, and hope, reminding us that we may never know who is struggling in silence.
It is essential for us to keep these vital conversations alive, dismantling the stigma surrounding mental health and fostering a culture of support both on and off the job site.
