Bergelectric and Roc Solid Foundation Surprise 5-Year-Old Leukemia Patient with Playset Build in Rowland Heights, CA
On May 16th staff from our Orange County office and field partnered with the Roc Solid Foundation in Rowland Heights, CA to build a playset for Rady Children’s Orange County (formerly CHOC) Patient Ty, a 5-year-old boy bravely fighting leukemia. Ty was unaware of the playset build, as it was kept a secret from him until the reveal. The build team worked side by side with purpose knowing their efforts would bring joy during a difficult time.
The highlight of the day was undoubtedly seeing Ty’s reaction when he saw his new playset for the first time. He was absolutely elated, and his excitement was contagious. Moments like that serve as a powerful reminder of how meaningful even a single act of kindness can be, especially when our Bergelectric Family comes together to make it happen.
