SAN DIEGO, CA, January 25, 2019 The Bergelectric Charitable Foundation supported the Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Foodbank with a monetary donation along with in-kind donations by Bergelectric employees from the San Diego regional office. Bergelectric employees donated over 300 pounds of food that will enable the food bank to provide 241 meals to San Diego residents in need.
Volunteers from Berg’s Finance and Service Departments were tasked with boxing family meals from donated goods, organizing grocery store pickups by category, and washing/cleaning crates. Everyone happily rolled up their sleeves and got to work.
Thank you to all Bergelectric employees who made an in-kind donation and/or volunteered their time for such a great cause!

The Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank and their North County Food Bank chapter comprise the largest hunger-relief organization in San Diego County. Last year, the Food Bank distributed 28 million pounds of food, and the Food Bank serves, on average, 370,000 people per month in San Diego County.
